Wheat Malt

Floor-malted for depth and flavour, this malt delivers enhanced head retention and light malt sweetness. A staple in wheat beers and a useful addition for body and foam stability.

Made from Group 3, soft wheat, our wheat malt is floor malted with longer germination times and then kiln dried for a lightly malty flavoured product but with all the head retention benefits of wheat. Because it is fully modified, wheat malt can be used directly into the mash tun without separate cooking and at relatively high addition rates as it has all the enzymes preserved to convert starch to sugar. The only limiting factor in addition rate is the absence of a husk.
