Maris Otter Pale Ale
Malt
Brewing malts are specially prepared cereal grains—most commonly barley—used as the foundation for beer production. During malting, grains are steeped, germinated, and then dried or kilned to develop enzymes and flavours essential for brewing. These malts provide the sugars needed for fermentation, contribute colour and body, and influence the aroma and taste of the final beer. Different malt types, from pale to roasted, allow brewers to craft a wide range of beer styles and flavour profiles.
